The Nursing Retention Fund (NRF) is an initiative announced by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care; purpose of this fund is to secure nursing jobs in Ontario Public Hospitals in circumstances where approved service change may otherwise trigger layoffs or reduction in nursing hours. The purpose of this multi-year program is to support Ontario Nurses by providing them with Best Practice Guidelines for client care. There are currently 50 published guidelines as well as a Toolkit and Educator's Resource to support implementation.
