RPNAO has represented my concerns, consistently and with dedication. I am proud to be a nurse and belong to an organization which promotes that we, all, take individual accountability for our profession.
The Ontario Hospital Association invites you to participate in their Infection Surveillance Conference to be held on February 1st, 2012 at Courtyard Marriott Toronto.
The prevention and control of health care associated infections has become a priority. Surveillance and monitoring of these infections is key to their control - we need to be able to consistently and accurately measure them if we are to assess progress in their control.
Maintaining successful features of standard systems, adopting alternate surveillance approaches, taking advantage of new technologies, and translating surveillance data into relevant information for the front line staff will make health care infection surveillance a more effective tool for prevention.
At this conference, participants will gain further knowledge on topics such as best practices for surveillance of health care associated infections in patient and resident populations, the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, a partnership program with Public Health Ontario (PHO) and the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA), and how to most effectively use resources.
